Profhilo

By treatment with a bioremodelling injectable such as Profhilo, we can effectively boost and smoothen the skin.

Young skin is not a question of age.

As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in our skin decreases. This is an effect of the natural aging process, but can be accelerated by sun exposure and tobacco smoking.

Fillers as well as Profhilo consist of hyaluronic acid and water. Profhilo distinguishes itself from traditional fillers by the fact that the texture of Profhilo is of extremely low viscosity. The low viscosity, which is achieved through the patented NAHYCO technology, enables Profhilo to spread and integrate itself evenly and softly into the skin and smoothen out fine lines. The effect of Profhilo has been proven in numerous scientific studies. In addition to above mentioned mechanistic effects on the skin, Profhilo has been shown to increase the skin’s own production of hyaluronic acid, collagen, elastic fibers and fat.

Profhilo has one of the market’s highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid, which means that a treatment with Profhilo provides the skin with a large boost of hyaluronic acid. Profhilo is non-permanent, which means that the product is completely degraded over time.

Face

Bioremodelling treatment of the facial skin.

When treating the face with Profhilo, we use a total of 2ml Profhilo distributed over 10 injection points, from which the product will distribute itself evenly throughout the facial skin. The effects include improved hydration, elasticity and glow. The effect is particularly noticable during the shift of seasons in the Danish weather, where dryness and irritation of the skin is markedly improved by Profhilo treatment.

Neck and decolleté

Dry and wrinkly skin on the neck and chest.

Age, sun and tobacco smoking are all causes of thin and wrinkly skin on the neck and chest. Profhilo effectively improves hydration, elasticity and tone of the skin of these areas.

Hands

Thin skin and visible veins.

The skin of the back of the hands are oftentimes revealing of our age. As we age, the skin becomes thinner, and the veins become more visible. Profhilo adds volume and hydration to the skin of the hands, and the hands will appear younger.

With Profhilo, we can smoothen fine lines and wrinkles, and we can improve the skin’s hydration and elasticity.

Side effects and complications

Common side effects of Profhilo treatment are limited to local redness and soreness around injection sites. Injection site infection is seen in rare cases. We do not offer Profhilo treatment to patients who are pregnant or nursing, as Profhilo is not tested on these patient groups.

How is the treatment done?

Profhilo is injected into several injection points just beneath skin level, after which the product will distribute itself evenly into the skin over the following 12-24 hours. Profhilo is well suited for treatment of the face, neck, decolleté and hands. When starting a Profhilo treatment, two treatments are done with a 4 week interval. The optimal result is visible 4 weeks after the second treatment. Thereafter, a single treatment is done every 7th to 8th month to maintain the result.
